When you know that the power that is life lies inside you, you accept your own divinity and yet you are humble because you see the same divinity in all people. You see how easy it is to understand God because everything is a manifestation of him. The body will die, the mind will also dissolve but you don’t. You are immortal; you exist for billions of years in different demonstrations, because you are life and life cannot die.
You’re in the trees, in the butterflies, in the fish, in the air, in the moon and the sun. Wherever you go you are there, waiting for you; all that remains is to enjoy life, be alive, heal the emotional body to create a new life that allows you to share openly all the love that is inside you ….
That’s what makes you wonderful. You’re not afraid to be all the things. The dark does not erase the light. The pain does not erase the good. The cold does not erase the warmth. The selfishness does not erase the giving and generosity. No one part of you, or any other human being, erases any other part. They are forever your bundle… chalk ripe and full of the heirloom seeds you’re given. And you plant them, and tend them, again, and again, and again.
Never have I seen more innocence than in a moment of existence. It’s totality, as it comes to you, it’s innocent—it just brings you possibility, anything you want. Like a baby …. You can mold it; you can fold it; you can destroy it; you can create a monster out of it if you wish.
Or you can have it as the tenderest, gentlest time, this time with you, listening to that feeling which fills the heart and causes gratitude to emerge.
The journey to the self, then, is truly a journey to you. It’s called, “Come home. Come home.” Come home—and you will see the world change, for you. Because remember, you have to make peace with the world; the world isn’t going to make peace with you. You have to make peace with the world.
And when you understand that, you understand “nothing is wrong; nothing is wrong. You journeyed away from home—and you need to come back home.” Because there, your thirst will be quenched, hunger satisfied, tiredness removed—and a sense of familiarity in life, not alienation, but a sense of familiarity will be restored where you can rest.
The answers you look for in this world, they’re not there—they’re not there. The answers are in you. Come home to your Self. Journey to the Self.” ~Prem Rawat~
